Lighting criteria are different for college, high school, and recreational play.
Football Stadium lighting considerations include:
Proper orientations, locations, illuminances, and controls that satisfy needs for any type of venue
Number of poles based on the width and size of the field
Quality of cutoff or spill light control
The suggested light levels on this website are based on the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) “Recommended Practice for Sports and Recreational Area Lighting,” RP-6. Sports lighting for television requires special design considerations. Requests for TV sports lighting should be directed through your local sales office to the Application Engineering department at the factory.
